Herbal based dyeing making it slow Entry in Tirupur

T he technology was evolved by a specialised scientific team attached to Tirupur-based dyeing unit 'Venus Herbal Process.' An alternative colouring option recently developed using natural herbs in the dyeing process is slowly gaining its popularity in Tirupur knitwear cluster, thanks to the Cluster Development Programme (CDP) initiated by Union Textiles Committee.

The herbal dyes were extracted from mango (bark of the tree), bilwan seeds, indigo, acacia plant species, fully ripen harda fruits and root of madder plant, among others.
