Surat, well known for its flourishing textile industry, is currently witnessing a shortage of over 200,000-300,000 workers as more and more of them migrate to other states or to other jobs in search of better income. Surat textile units have started to introduce new benefits for the textile worker, the move after a huge shortage of worker. The textile units are expecting to retain the existing work by providing some more provisions.
